Are you a seasoned geologist with a passion for exploration and a knack for leadership? A multinational gold mining company is seeking a dynamic individual to join the ranks as an Exploration Manager – Regional Projects in Eastern Canada.
As the Exploration Manager – Regional Projects, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising all exploration activities across their regional projects. Reporting to the Eastern Canada Exploration Manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the exploration strategy and driving forward key objectives.
**What You'll Do:**
🔍 Develop and direct the regional exploration strategy for Eastern Canada.
👥 Manage geological and technical specialists on regional exploration programs.
🌿 Advocate for environmental, health, and safety policies.
💼 Monitor competitor activities and recommend new exploration opportunities.
🤝 Initiate discussions for potential joint-venture agreements.
📊 Analyze historical exploration data and compile relevant insights.
💰 Prepare project plans and budgets.
👷♂️ Supervise exploration teams and contractors on field programs.
🎯 Evaluate exploration data to define drilling targets.
🗺️ Conduct field evaluations and design sampling programs.
⛏️ Provide oversight on drilling operations and manage drillcore programs.
🤝 Mentor and guide junior members of the team.
📝 Prepare geological reports and recommendations.
🛡️ Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
📈 Provide regular project updates.
**What You Need:**
🌟 10+ years of gold exploration experience with a focus on fieldwork.
🏞️ Strong familiarity with orogenic gold systems.
👑 Demonstrated leadership skills in managing exploration teams.
🌍 Commitment to safety, environment, and community.
🖥️ Experience with GIS and 3D exploration software.
📝 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in (English/French).
